An Orisha is an embodied divinity, reflective of a manifestation of the divine in the African Yoruba faith tradition. That expression carries over to a range of American cultural practices, from Santería to Candomblé, Trinidad Orisha to Oyotunji, displaying a richly diverse and passionate following.

Yemaya, the major water spirit of Yoruba religion, is the dearest of all Orishas. As Patron spirit of rivers like the Ogun River of Nigeria, and seas within the Cuban and Brazilian Orisa faiths, she's syncretized as Our Lady of Regla or other Catholic depictions of the Virgin Mary. The loving matriarch provides solace and absolution for her offspring and is alleged to mend the barrenness of women. Her wealth is depicted by cowrie shells. Yet, when Yemaya's temper flares, her rage spills over like the turmoil of a raging river; thus, she is customarily portrayed as a mermaid. In Afro-Cuban diaspora, she is aligned with the moon and governs all matters related to women such as parenting, child safety, love, and healing.

This Yemaya Orisha Statue is a captivating symbol of elegance and grace, crafted from the highest-quality resin. Its intricate form and ornate details offer a transcendent centerpiece that radiates a resplendent beauty, perfect for any space.
